Vegan Restaurants In Vancouver
The Naam Restaurant on West 4th in Vancouver.
Grilled Tofu with teriyaki sauce.
Cashew and avocado enchilada with grilled veggies and a salad on the side. They used vegan cheese on the enchilada and it was gooey and so good. The salad had a gucamole type dressing...heaven. They even had my dandelion coffee!!!
THE LOVING HUT on West Broadway
The picture doesn`t do this dish justice. This is a small order of Nachos that we split and we thought it was a big portion. It comes with really good gucamole, salsa and vegan sour cream. They use organic corn tortilla chips, red onions, mushrooms, black olives, jalapenos, sun dried tomatoes, topped with vegan cheese. WOW I can`t wait to go back and try some of their other dishes.

Gardein Products
These Beefless Tips are really great. I fried them up and just ate them. YUMMY I can't wait to try them in a recipe.
Wow one thing I always missed was buffalo wings...not the wings with the fat and the veins (gross) but the hot buffalo flavour. THESE ARE AWESOME. Hot Stuff! They were too hot for my daughter so she made a honey mustard sauce. Very good too.

1/3 cup almond butter
2 ripe bananas
1 tsp vanilla
2 tbsp maple syrup
2 tbsp almond milk
2 1/2 cups quick or rolled oats
1/4 cup flour

In a large bowl mash bananas until smooth. add almond butter, vanilla, syrup, almond milk and mix well. Add remaining ingredients and stir until well combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop by tbsp on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 13-16 minutes in a 350 degree oven.

Tuesday's Lunch
I love veggies. For tomorrow's lunch I stir fried the veggies I had in the fridge: onion, peppers, asparagus, zucchini and carrots. When cooked, I added corn (cooked and cut off the cob) cashews (raw) a squirt of hot chile sauce, brown rice and gomae sauce (recipe in a previous post) and seasoned with sea salt and freshly ground pepper.

Tonights Dinner
Potato Salad and Coconut Curry Tempeh
I made my potato salad by roasting some new potatoes. When they cooled I quartered them, added celery and green onions. The sauce was veganaise, mustard, salt, pepper, tarragon, sweet relish, a little cider vinegar and a splash of almond milk. Add the sauce and stir. For a kick I also added some crushed red pepper flakes. Next I fried up some Coconut Curry Tempeh. It was great and really good mixed together with the potato salad.
